If you'd like to cancel a payment you've manually scheduled from your online profile (i.e. any non-Auto Payment), you can do so from your online profile, or by contacting Client Happiness. The cut-off time to do so is 3 P.M. EST on the scheduled payment date. After the cut-off deadline, the option will disappear from your online profile, and we will be unable to stop or refund it.
If you'd like to cancel an Auto Payment, please contact Client Happiness. While there is no option to cancel an Auto Payment from within your online profile, we can cancel them for you. The cut-off to file a request to cancel an Auto Payment is one week (five business days) before the payment. After that time, we will be unable to cancel the payment.
If Earnest is unable to cancel a payment, you may still be able to put a stop payment on the transaction via your bank. If you do so, the payment will likely fail. Please check with your bank before requesting a stop payment to see if any charges or conditions apply.
