As of October 24, 2026, all active private student loans are being transferred to MOHELA and are no longer accessible via Earnest.com. Your loan terms, interest rate, account number, and any benefits have stayed the same – you’ll just be working with MOHELA instead of Earnest moving forward.
On October 26, 2026, you will be able to set up your MOHELA account here
Your Payments:
If you’re enrolled in Auto Pay, it has been automatically transferred to MOHELA, and payments will be withdrawn as scheduled.
If you pay through a bill pay service or by personal check, the payment address has not changed, you'll simply need to update the payee to MOHELA.
Starting on October 26, 2026, for any assistance, please contact MOHELA by calling (888) 272-5543. Their business hours, excluding holidays, are:
