As a cosigner, you’ll have access to an online loan dashboard where you can set up payments, access loan documents, and view loan details. However, you will not be able to update the primary account holder’s personal information, such as their address, phone number, or name.
How Can I Make an Extra Payment?
Making a payment as a cosigner can be completed from your online dashboard. To schedule a manual or an extra payment towards your loan, you will need to first:
- Sign in to your Earnest account.
- Select your loan from the left-side menu.
- Navigate to "Make a Payment."
You may schedule a same-day payment or for any date up to 60 days in the future. Please note that if you or the primary account holder are enrolled in Auto Pay, extra payments will not replace your monthly auto payments. You can use your online dashboard to enroll in Auto Pay (though the primary and the cosigner cannot simultaneously be enrolled in Auto Pay).
