American Education Services: How to Find Your 10-Day Payoff Information

Account Information

Your American Education Services (AES) account number is a unique 10-digit number at the top of your billing statement. Individual loans are distinguished by a Loan Sequence number, typically 1001, 1002, etc. If you choose to pay off only certain loans, you'll need to identify individual loans by listing out the Loan Sequence numbers as the loan number. You can learn more about your AES billing statement here!

Billing Statement

If you are enrolled in paperless, you may download a copy of your AES loan statement by signing in to your account and selecting “Payments & Billing.” It’s important to note our upload section can only support JPG, PNG, or PDF file types. If you don’t have a copy of your statement to provide, you can upload a screenshot showing your loan details instead. Please make sure the upload includes as much of the following as possible: your full name, a recent date, account number, and payoff amount. If we need any clarification on the information provided, our team will contact you by email before sending the funds to AES.

10-Day Payoff Amount

The "10-day Payoff Amount" is your current loan balance plus ten days of interest for the loan(s) you'd like to include at AES. You may locate your 10-day payoff amount online through your American Education Systems dashboard. To do so, please:

  1. Sign in to your account here.
  2. Select “Payments & Billing > Loan Payoff (in the left column).”
  3. Choose a payoff date 10 days from the current date.
  4. Select ”Request A Payoff Amount” to automatically calculate your payoff total.

You may also receive your 10-day payoff information by requesting a quote from AES customer support. Keep in mind that the 10-day payoff amount assumes payoff in 10 days and, therefore, may lead to an overpayment or underpayment, depending on when AES applies the payment. Most overpayments will be refunded to Earnest and applied to your principal balance, but occasionally, they may be issued to you. For underpayments, however, you’ll be responsible for paying the remaining amount. If you have any other questions about your loan approval or need further assistance, please use the "Get In Touch” button at the bottom of this article.

Finally, these instructions may have been updated by AES since this article was published. We encourage you to review their website for the most accurate payoff information.
