What is my citizenship/residency status?

You're considered a U.S. Citizen if:

  • You were born in the U.S. or came to the U.S. from another country through the naturalization process.

You're considered a U.S. Permanent Resident if:

  • You possess a 10-year (non-conditional) Permanent Resident Card.

If neither of these citizenship statuses applies to you, go ahead and mark 'other' for your citizenship status on your application.

Are you a cosigner or a student wanting to add a cosigner?

All cosigners must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
